The Pennsylvania State Data Center provides an overview of Urban Area changes from 2010 to 2020

Pennsylvania’s urban population decreased slightly (-0.1%) between 2010 and 2020 based on 2020 Census data and a change in the way urban areas are defined, according to the new list of urban areas released by the U.S. Census Bureau in December 2022. This contrasts with the nation's urban population which increased by 6.4 percent.
