Penn State Harrisburg proudly announces the launch of the Pennsylvania Center for Latino Research (PaCLR). This new Center reflects our commitment to empowering communities and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to address pivotal issues across the Commonwealth. PaCLR, a center dedicated to Hispanic and Latino communities, will generate impactful research and offer meaningful support for public policy and community development.
Founded by visionary Irving Hand in 1973, ISRA is the oldest and largest research unit within Penn State Harrisburg. Now under the leadership of Dr. Phil Sirinides, our reach and impact have expanded exponentially. “We care about understanding and improving the lives and experiences of every individual in Pennsylvania to reduce inequities and improve lives,” Sirinides says.
