Tim Schock develops and implements data solutions to meet client needs, always focusing on making data accessible and actionable. Tim leads the effort to identify and implement innovative data science solutions across the state data center and the institute. Tim specializes in automation of workflows using R, Python, SQL as well as data visualization and analysis, including spatial data analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). 

On the data center’s redistricting project, Tim enjoyed working with officials in all 67 Pennsylvania counties, at the U.S. Census Bureau, and at various state agencies. Tim helped to update geographic boundary data and led the development of several methodologies needed to provide legislators with population data that they later used to develop legislative districts.
