Recent Survey Highlight: Penn State Poll now accepting Questions

published 7/1/2017 12:00:00 AM

The Penn State Poll is a cost-effective way to poll statewide in Pennsylvania because costs are shared among the sponsoring organizations. Each organization pays for only the survey question(s) that it submits. Standard demographic questions (age, sex, race, ethnicity, education, income, political affiliation, and geography), assistance with writing questions, a methodology report, and a cleaned, weighted dataset are included in the per question cost. The Center can also produce a variety of customized reports for an additional fee. Questions for the Penn State Poll start at $1,000.

The Center for Survey Research follows best practices for conducting telephone surveys, including the inclusion of cell phones, a rigorous callback strategy, and neutral telephone interviewing.

The survey will be fielded in September/October 2017, with basic deliverables (methodology report and dataset) to sponsors no later than November 13, 2017. The deadline to indicate interest in participating is Monday, July 24, 2017. After a sponsor has noted an interest in sponsoring questions, staff at the Center will then work closely with the researcher to provide assistance with writing questions and responses.
